Northeast United States
This gallery is filled with images taken from hikes and kayaking in Central Pennsylvania, all the way to Northern Maine. Many of the images were taken in the last remaining wildernesses of this region, like the Adirondack Mountains and forests of central Pennsylvania. This is where I started with photography, and will always have a place in my career. Its remaining landscapes include calm lakes and green forests in the southern regions, to mountains in the northern end of the Appalachians.
Lackawanna State Park, Pennsylvania, August 2025
A beautiful sunset shines on the shoreline of Lackawanna Lake. This lake has been a regular place for my photography, even when I used to shoot wildlife photos. Now, it is my regular kayak spot.
Pine Creek Gorge, Pennsylvania, July 2025
A burning sunrise reaches over the Pine Creek Gorge in Central Pennsylvania after an overnight trip to the west rim of the canyon.
Pennsylvania, December 2024
I was fortunate enough to photograph a squirrel with a form of miscolored pigmentation, called leucism, during a daytrip with the camera in the winter. While I am straying away from wildlife photography these days in favor for landscapes, it is still an encounter that will stick with me.
Lackawanna State Park, Pennsylvania, August 2025
A double-crested cormorant dries itself off on a branch in the middle of Lackawanna Lake. This was my first image taken while kayaking, starting my new obsession with water-based photography of landscapes.
Lackawanna State Park, Pennsylvania, August 2025
Tall grasses on the untouched part of Lackawanna Lake shine gold in the evening before sunset.
Five Ponds Wilderness, New York, July 2025
Corpses of long-gone trees stand in the swamps of the lowlands of the Adirondack Mountains with taller pines behind them.
Five Ponds Wilderness, New York, July 2025
Twisted remains of long-gone trees are overshadowed by giant pine trees int the swamps of the Adirondacks.
Five Ponds Wilderness, New York, July 2025
A not-so-popular part of the ADK in New York State, the Five Ponds Wilderness consists of difficult swamps to traverse.
Catskill Mountains, New York, June 2025
My only image of the Catskills to date. The Woodland Valley, during a cycling trip. I don't have too many plans to go back as I want to put that effort into exploring it's bigger sister, the Adirondacks and other regions of the Northeast US.
